Not only are we influencing the students in our programs to contribute in preserving the earth’s resources, we’re applying those tactics right here in our office.
Bright Ideas – We’re using energy efficient lights in our office and tennis courts.
Did you know? CFLs (compact flourescent lamps) last 10 times longer than incandescent bulbs, use two-thirds less energy, and give off 70 % less heat.
Eco-Friendly Marketing – Printing program brochures on recycled paper reduces energy needed to make new paper.
Did you know? The total amount of energy used to recycle paper can be anywere from 28% to 70% less than working with new materials.
Hit The Road, JKCP – Our staff participates in environmental clean-up programs, like Adopt-A-Highway.
Did you know? By volunteering to clear a two-mile stretch of state highway four times a year, JKCP is caring for the environment and helping minimize maintenance costs.
Cut the Lights! – We’re powering down every night to conserve energy when the office is not in use.

Blow Your Nose, Save A Tree – We’ve switched to tissues and toilet paper with recycled content to decrease the number of trees used to make new paper products.

Priority “Green” Mail – We’re reusing shipping boxes and bubble wrap to cut down on the waste stream.
